About Us

Norvelt Elementary School is located in the small community of Norvelt, about five miles from Mount Pleasant. Both the school and community were named for Eleanor Roosevelt because of her extensive work in this area during the depression years. The building originally housed students in grades one through eight. Today it houses approximately 500 students in Kindergarten through Third Grade.

NORVELT Morning DROP OFF Procedures

Parents who are dropping off students in the morning at Norvelt Elementary should enter the school from the Northern end of East Laurel Circle. This is the end closest to Hoffer Funeral Home.
