About Us

Norvelt Elementary School is located in the small community of Norvelt, about five miles from Mount Pleasant. Both the school and community were named for Eleanor Roosevelt because of her extensive work in this area during the depression years. The building originally housed students in grades one through eight. Today it houses approximately 500 students in Kindergarten through Third Grade.

Starting Tuesday, September 7, 2021, The governor of Pennsylvania is requiring all students and staff in schools to wear a mask. Shields are also permitted.

Videos on OTIS help parents/guardians learn how to support distance learning by teaching skills like troubleshooting a home wireless connection, Connecting to Google Classroom or Schoology, and much more.
